Alternative formats are any accommodation that changes the format of a textbook, test, handout or any material used in the course. Testing Accommodations are for any type of test, quiz, exam, midterm, or final proctored in the classroom, in the Testing Center, or online. Lecture Notes: Photos of Lecture Notes on Board/Overhead
- Student is allowed to take photos of the whiteboard/screen to enhance/assist with their own notetaking with phone or other electronic device.

- Faculty: Use only black dry erase markers on whiteboard during lecture.

Materials: Calculator
- Student will bring a calculator for use during class.
- Faculty: contact Access Specialist if this could be a fundamental alteration to the curriculum based on course objectives.

Math Only: No Public or Group Math Work
- Faculty: Do not have student complete math publicly. Allow student to complete problems privately.

May be a Few Minutes Late to Class
- Student may arrive 5-10 minutes late to class.

No Public or Group Reading Aloud
- Faculty: Do not require a student to read aloud in a group setting. If needed, the student can read silently or aloud one on one.

Online Discussions: The Student May Need an Alternative to Online Discussion Posts
- Faculty: Student may need an alternative to an online class discussion depending on context.
- This should be discussed with the student and can include the Access Specialist to assist with reaching a reasonable agreement.
- If this could be a fundamental alteration to curriculum based on course objectives, please contact the Access Specialist.

Personal Aide in Class for Physical Assistance Only
- Student will provide their own personal aide for physical assistance during class. Aide should not assist with academics in any way or interfere with the course.

Personal Material: Fidget Use in Class
- Student may bring a fidget object to use during class as long as it does not disrupt lecture or distract other students. Student will focus better when allowed to use a fidget.

Personal Material: Headphones or Earplugs During Class
- Student may use a type of headphone or earplug that drowns out background noise but allows focus on lecture. They may use complete sound blocking during classroom activities that do not require interaction.

Personal Material: Sunglasses, Eye Covering, Hat
- Student will bring personal items to wear in class, please do not draw attention to these items.

Presentations: Present Only to Small Group or Faculty
- Faculty and Student need to discuss this accommodation at the start of the quarter or soon after this letter is received.

Priority Seating: Student Needs to Sit in Particular Location in Class
- will place sign if needed, student will choose seat that works otherwise.

Reader: Assignments Relating to Color
- The will send a staff member to read for any in class assignments/activities for the student during class. If a Reader is not necessary for the course, they will stop coming after the first week.

- Student or DRC Access Specialist will reach out to faculty for a meeting at the start of quarter.
